Geography and politics of Coe

                                                             The World of Coe

The world was once without any human population, mainly only humanoids lived here, from Elves to Kobbolds and all between, but there were dragons.

 After the conjunction humans and monsters from several other worlds found themselves living in this strange new world, now millennia later humans occupy a large part of the world, monsters of all kinds populate all regions to a greater or lesser degree and dragons remain of course.

All the northern continent East of Northgard is wild and not well known to humans, Elves have better knowledge of these wild lands. The smaller island continent Menholm is mainly occupied by the Imperium, their holdings include the coastal regions of the Southern Island continent (Sudholm) and the extreme East of the main continent, but the North coast of Menholm is independent and benefits from the support of the warlike peoples of the Northgard, and until now remains free of Imperial subjugation.

In the centre of the southern continent there is a desert land, split by a huge mountain range that reaches the southern ocean in Mukkiba, in the middle of the mountain range lies the trading city/empire of Mas Medina, situated next to a very large lake, Lake Tannin that is fed by the streams and rivers of the mountains, as the last place where it is possible to get food and water before crossing the desert to the West and of course as the first place when heading East Mas Medina is the first place to obtain supplies and shelter, trade is healthy the city is rich.

Little is known of Ergwath, it seems that humans there have made some kind of peace with humanoids and a lawless violent land has evolved there

The large peninsula to the East of the continent is home to Kirshim, a land where the humans that ended up there made their peace and an alliance with the High Elves, this process has created a strong Empire that produces Fierce warriors and gifted mages alike, their long tradition of coexistence has made them very united and very strong if a little insular.

 Semsea is the largest city of the North, with strong ties to the Northgard but good relations with the Empire although slightly worse relations with their southern neighbours in the city state of Cheloog.

 In the far South lies Mukkiba to the West of the mountains, a land of dense jungles and with human settlement on the coast mainly, and to the East, the city of Ephelia kind of rules over a harsh hinterland of grassy plains, populated by nomadic herdspeople of various races.
