Elf and Human waited anxiously in the hovel where Samir lives, then they were electrified by a sudden very loud pounding on the rickety door!

                                "BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!"

For a few moments they seemed reluctant to open the door, but eventually they did and they set eyes upon a huge Orc warrior, clearly they were both quite disturbed by this but the warrior managed to explain that he had been sent by Waliph to help them in their mission and also that he is in fact human/orc cross.
The two seemed reassured and before long the party set off in the night under cover of darkness to begin their quest, however as soon as they set foot outside they were approached by another person, this one clearly human and Kirshimi, a tall and graceful man with a light step. It turned out that by an incredible coincidence that this religious devotee was an old acquaintance of Valmantar. He also decided to join with the party and they all headed to the hinterlands.

The night passed without incident but on the following day they had their suspicions aroused by a vile smell and advancing with caution they managed to forestall a hastily planned ambush that had been set for them by a group of hideous jackal headed aberrations known as Gnolls, in the ensuing battle however the good monk was sore wounded and in danger of falling when the priestess Amaranth, who had been discreetly following out of concern for the party, dashed forward and laid her healing hands upon him.

The Gnolls were duly dispatched and the party decided to rest to recover forces, as they rested they studied a map they had found after the battle and agreed to attempt to find the locations depicted therein.

                                                    A GNOLL!

Resuming their journey they eventually found what they thought could be the area shown on the map, the first feature was a camp, seemingly long abandoned, ancient skeletons littered the ground between the ragged and rotten lean-tos and the long since abandoned cart, but when they approached more closely some vile magic was invoked and the very skeletons rose up to attack them! Luckily it seems this trap had been set for intruders of a lesser marque than our party and the battle was short and sweet, all the skeletons were soon smashed to bits!
Amidst the debris they found a few weapons and one item of great interest! A pair of bracers of fine manufacture!
