FACING DEATH IN THE TOWER!

After some consideration Nox was persuaded to allow himself to be hoisted to the grill in the ceiling, and despite his every effort to be cautious he did in fact make a noise moving the grill to one side, lifting himself into the room he found he was in a narrow rough bedchamber, old and unused, standing in one corner there was what seemed to be an old suit of armour, however the awful truth was revealed when it began to turn to locate the source of the noises it had heard!

 The horrifying visage cast around the room, seeing nothing it momentarily focused its energies and was soon able to detect Nox trying to flank it, even as the brave thief closed in for a backstab the thing spoke words of awful magic and Nox was struck blind in an instant!

 The rest of the party scrambled through the hole in the floor, Egren had uttered some words of support before going up, he held his symbol high and commanded it to begone!

 The thing sneered at the cleric and also shrugging off a magical attack from Helios it faced the Samurai Okan. With a loud shout for his Ki and to cause his sword to emit bright light he stepped forward with flashing blades and to everyone's amazement cut one of the aberration's arms clean off!

 In response it placed its remaining hand on the wall and once more uttering words of dread power caused the very walls of the room to come alive with dread and terrifying images that caused such awful weakness and debility in the heroes.

 However weakened as it was and with Nox behind and the others in front it was clear that it would not prevail and they soon dispatched the fiend to whatever hell it was waiting to go to.

 Egren suspected that it had been a Death Knight, the ghost of a once noble Paladin who had lost his way in life!
