The city has seen better times, the economy is nose diving, the trade routes in both directions are beset by bandits, and even in the city the old order seems to be failing, the Sultan is rarely seen, his Grand Vizier is ipso facto ruler of the city, and the underworld, well the thieves guild has become a very bloody affair. What is causing this malaise on the once proud "Centre of the World" as Mas Medina once styled itself?
The streets once orderly and safe are dangerous by day and deadly by night. The ordinary people are suffering great hardship, many wealthy merchants have already left for richer pastures.
Is the jewel of the east in final decline? Will it become ruins?
