The adventurers have made their way to troubled Mas Medina in search of the ring of Djinn, the city is falling apart, rioting in the streets, city guards behaving more like secret police, even the street urchins are behaving as if they know more than they do. The bank looks a daunting prospect, and so far no contact has been made with the Bishop's contact the mysterious red bandanna wearing thief.

So Nox and Maya went into the city to try to make contact, Maya disguised as a man to avoid unnecessary sexism in Mas Medina, false beard and everything and everything, not sure if she can do the voice though. They contacted a street urchin who tried to fleece them but in the end a deal was struck, the guards questioned them but let them proceed with a warning about dangers, blah blah blah. When they left they were followed and tried to set up an ambush via Goldie Hawk, but the follower lost heart when they left the city limits and returned to his lair.
