Very recently the old TG building in a back street off the Merchant market was raided by the city guards, many were killed and many dragged off to the guard towers, there are murmurings that this was a put up job and in fact resulted from some kind of internal conflict within the guild. Whether this is true or not remains a moot point, what is true however is that the guild is now operating from the Aelder Tower in the Beggar's Market, (not to be confused with the Wyrd Tower) an ancient ruin that no one knows the origins of but that is rumoured to be haunted.
The new "King of Thieves" is a chap called Waliph, who actually disappeared several months ago and has only reappeared since the raid on the old guild HQ, the Aelder Tower is completely ruined in its upper floors and only the ground floor and basement are usable.
