DARING RAID ON BANK
DRAGON SLAIN BY FLYING SHIP!!!
The Much vaunted "safest bank in the East" was raided earlier today, there is some confusion as to whether there were two groups of raiders, one led by a powerful warlock who brought a demon with him and maybe a dragon also, and the other group that came in a flying ship!
It is unclear what was taken and in a thrilling aerial battle the crew of the ship shot the dragon twice with devastating ballista shots and the monster fell to its death in the evil flames of hell that the warlock had conjured around the bank, many guards were slain but the surviving witnesses state that the crew of the ship did not kill anyone and that all killing was done by the warlock and his monsters.
What is happening in Mas Medina? Are we to suffer this anarchy indefinitely? Where is the Sultan? We deserve better protection from elements such as this! We at the Mas Medina Herald think it is about time we had some explanations regarding these matters as well as this sudden repression of the gods in favour of the "one god" followers.
What sort of god is so afraid of other gods he orders his adherents to kill the followers of other gods?
I for one had never heard of this "Mimtak" until a few months ago, now the devotees are everywhere in Mas Medina!
And what of the terrible drop in trade, markets half empty, caravans not getting through from the East?
I recently interviewed an important emissary from Kirshim, Lord Okan Kimi is an agent sent by the Empress herself to try to find out what is going wrong in Mas Medina, he has been in the city several days and neither the Sultan nor the Grand Vizier have even deigned to meet him!
He states "For centuries Mas Medina and Kirshim have enjoyed very warm and friendly relations, our trade links have led to prosperity for both nations, we have come to rely on the rice and exotic goods that Mas Medina trades in return for our silks, other fabrics and fine weapons. This trade route is vital to the Empire and it is in everyone's best interest if we are able to work together to put an end to this banditry along the trade routes."
Worrying sentiments from a representative of the most powerful force of the Orient!
Troubled times indeed for the "Heart of the World".
